IPL fantasy best Captain Strategy

Fantasy League is more than fantasy. This is my maiden fantasy league ever. Here's the To-Do List when you're choosing your team.

1. Wait for the toss. Roughly you have 30 minutes to make substitutions. That gives you ample time to decide which players are in the squad, so that none of your substitutions go wasted. Now, once you've known who is going to bat first, remember to take one bowler from the team that is bowling first. This is because, the first team has a fair chance that they will play complete 20 overs. And in the death overs, the team batting first goes to play aerial shots and goes out. So the bowler who gets to bowl the death overs should be in your team.
2. Opening Batsmen vs Opening Bowler In the first innings, remember the battle of the bowler who may open the bowling, while the batsmen who may preferably smash out of the park. (NOTE: This does not apply to AB DeVilliers and Brendon McCullum because they can basically smash any god damn bowler out there.)

Speaking of consistency here,

• Batsmen:
  1. Ajinkya Rahane, a rewarded masterpiece to Rajasthan Royals
  2. AB DeVilliers is mighty.
  3. Lendl Simmons is a masterpiece.
  4. Brendon McCullum is noteworthy
  5. David Warner is occasionally blasting.
  6. JP Duminy/David Miller (My vote goes to Miller, I find him consistent compared to Duminy.)
• Bowlers:
  1. Mitchell Starc is the best, THE BEST!
  2. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, the best death bowler EVER!
  3. Trent Boult, is a king of spells.
  4. Ravichandran Ashwin, economically brilliant. (NOTE: There have been several instances where in my leagues I chose him as my Power Player, while others discarded him. He always takes mighty wickets at an extremely economical bowling that lends points. There have been instances of a wicket maiden, that lends 40 points and as a Power Players he earns 80 in just one over!)
  5. Ashish Nehra: Takes a wicket usually.
• All Rounders
  1. Dwayne Bravo: He is wonderful. Bowls death overs and always takes wickets. ALWAYS! And the plus point is, he take catches as if the ball wants to come in his hands. He scores with the bat and usually comes to bat towards the end of the innings, thus giving him an opportunity to hit sixes.
  2. Andre Russell: Another West-Indian to have made a huge impact in this IPL! He has performed with the bat as well as with the ball.
  3. Moises Henriques: He started his IPL this season, after the second half of IPL. But he came as a storm and fetched wickets as well as scored hefty runs with the bat. Totally worth a mention.
  4. Shane Watson: Gets to bowl good overs and opens the bat for RR.
  5. (UNCAPPED) Deepak Hooda: A surprise element of this IPL. He has been a beauty with a bat and a ball.
