Nathu Sing is unluckiest player in IPL 2018 saeson 11

Many of you'll won't know him. He is Nathu Singh, son of a labourer in a wire factory, who played for the Board President's XI against the touring South Africans. He came into the eyes of the selectors by his consistency of bowling at a speed above 140 kmph.

Bowling with passion and purpose, the fast bowler had managed to generate impressive pace on a flat Jaipur track. After his successful Ranji stint, Nathu was picked for the India 'A' squad to play the touring South Africans. It wasn't a memorable outing but he bounced back in the Vijay Hazare and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournaments with rich hauls in most matches. Nathu also represented India 'B' in Deodhar Trophy and impressed with his pace and swing.

Here is Nathu Singhs Record

He was picked by mumbai indians at a jaw dropping price of 3.2 crores. But the sad part of the story is that he didn't get to play a single game in this IPL.The team management headed by ponting, tendulkar and rhodes neglected this emerging Indian talent and thus barring a fast bowler from grasping the attention of world cricket. They could have easily played him in place of bumrah or vinay Kumar for one or two matches.

Cricket, sometimes, offers fairy-tales and Nathu Singh's story is no different. Son of a labourer from Rajasthan, Nathu's built is perfectly suited for pace bowling, and he does the basic thing a pacer is supposed to do - run in and bowl quick. In a country perpetually hungry for pace, Nathu comes as a relief. After missing out on a place in the Jaipur side, he had to make do with a place in Sikkar's team.

However, he got recognition and garnered attention with his pace. In 2015, he was bought by Mumbai Indians for a whopping 3.2 crores for IPL 2016. These days he is a regular in the Rajasthan side and is expected to start knocking on the Indian doors soon.
